Question: Good wine for valentine's day?

My husband and I have never been big wine drinkers but I think i would really like it so my husband said he would get some for valentine's day!! I was wondering if someone can tell me a good wine that doesn't have a strong alcohol taste and isn't terribly expensive. We don't want anything like a local wine store has that's chocolate flavored. We want something more traditional! Thanks!!

A Louis Roederer Champagne, or a California Sparkling Wine, maybe Scharffenberger Cellars Brut.

Ferrari-Carano Siena-2007 It's a reasonably priced red wine that you should be able to get for around $20

I like Buckhunter's suggestions, but since it's for Valentine's day, I'd also recommend Sofia - another California sparkling wine that is made by Coppola wineries. It is very beautiful - pretty label, cellophane wrap - quite romantic looking. I realize that isn't the best way to pick a wine ;) but in this case, it works because it also tastes very good and doesn't cost too much (maybe $16-18). franciscoppolawinery.com/ (click on wines -- > Sofia) Oh - and it is fairly easy to find. My little neighborhood grocery store even carries it.
