And you see a bottle of wine for a ridiculously cheap price do you automatically think it must be crappy wine and pass it up or do you think wow what a great deal and buy it. thanks

If it has a high alcohol content i don't care whether it tastes like shite or not,but generally yes, i do think it's probably cheap and nasty

If I've had it before and remember it fondly I'll snatch it up. I also look at the markdown. It could be overstock. But anything less than about $5 I'll steer away from...unless it's for cooking.

It depends on the where the wine comes from... what part of the country, what brand. You can find some really good wines for $20 or less. You just have to learn about wineries, taste different wines... try to find which one you like!

I automatically think that its crappy.

I'll pick up one or ask a friend if they'd tried it. It can always be used for cooking if it's awful. A good inexpensive one is Barefoot from CA- their Chard is $7 and it's very good- award-winning too. Yellowtail used to be inexpensive, but they've gone up quite a bit over the past 5+ years.

Yes...but I give it a shot sometimes anyhow. I've gotten some good ones that way. It's kind of like buying a lottery ticket.

Sometimes it's cheap crap, other times it tastes good, I'm a broke alcoholic so i always buy cheap stuff, and sometimes it's not too bad.

When I get wine I don't look at price, I have drank a lot of low price wines that were great....

I try not to let price be an indicator of the wine. Some of the less expensive wines are very tasty, indeed. Like Gazoo said, it's a lot like buying a lottery ticket. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. I do have my preferences with wines, however. I have gone to a few wineries and found that I like certain ones better than any other. It all comes down to personal tastes. If you think it tastes good, then it's a good wine, no matter what you paid for it. If you think it's vinegar with a fancy label, then you know not to buy it again.
