Question: Wine pairing with dessert?

You might want to consider an apperitif instead. Sometimes dessert wines are a bit too sweet for something already super sweet like cream pies... Try also a cognac or something of the like, that would pair nicely & help people finish if they are feeling full :)

For a white wine that taste sweet try Fetzer Gewurztraminer from California or a Chateau St Michelle riesling from Washington State.

Wow, those are all great suggestions. Here's another thought - how about trying a really high end rum with the pie. Something to sip on that reminds you of the tropics - and goes with the tropical bananas. Also reminiscent of Bananas Foster.
