Wine Pairing Information

Question: I need help with wine pairing?

I bought a White Truffle Cheese cake from the cheesecake factory for NYE and I need help with a wine that will go great with this cheesecake thanks in advance! (:

A white wine would be best, but not something too sweet that will take away the richness of the cheesecake. I think a Gewürztraminer would be a really good pairing for cheesecake. It is a bit sweet, but not overly a dessert wine. I would place it between a chardonnay and a moscato. Trader Joe's has a good variety from Germany that I would recommend and it is $5-9 a bottle, so it fits in any wine budget.

I woud go for a nice botrytis semillon, a good quality white muscat or other sweet white. Such as deBortoli Noble One (Australian)

I whole heartedly agree with Sally S. Gewurztraminer is simply amazing for stuff like that. There are several good brands but I wouldn't get it from Sutter Home. I think theirs has a little to much bite.
