Question: What is a wine enthusiast called?

If they are telling you they are an 'enthusiast', then they are referred to as one of the following: If they are homeless - A wino. If they are complaining about wine they didn't buy - Picky. If they are vomiting - An alcoholic. If they are drinking pino grigio - A liar Otherwise, you call them 'well versed'.. which pretty much means a wino, anyway.

An expert is called a sommelier; usually they help patrons select the perfect wine with their meals at upscale resturaunts.
