Question: Building a new home with a small walk-in wine cellar/closet...help!!?

What is a good AC to cool the room?? What temp does it need to be set at?? Anything else i need to know??

Just for you to know most high end applaince stores sell what you are looking for and they range from 350 on the low end up to 10k for a massive unit. and you can always call your local wine store and ask they will be more than happy to help you out with the info you need because it has alot to do with the types of wine and other issues as to you climate and humidity issues

Ideally, if you are building from the ground up, the best place to put a walk in wine cellar would be in the basement in a room with no windows. I have a friend who owns a wine cellaring business in downtown Toronto and on his website he has all the details on basic wine cellaring. Here are the four key points he mentions: • away from direct sunlight, • temperatures between of 4ºC and 18ºC (40ºF and 65ºF), • temperature does not fluctuate more than 2-3ºC (5ºF) once annually, and • humidity levels are greater than 50%.
