Only lead crystal glasses will make the ringing noise when you rub a wet finger on the rim. :) |

Fill the glass with water. The more water in it, the lower-pitched the sound emitted will be. Dip your finger in water... Place your finger on the border of the glass. While holding the glass from the bottom part with your other hand, move your finger around the border of the glass . Do not press too hard or too loose. Try to find a point between the two where noise indeed does come out of the cup. If using a normal glass, it will take more time to get the hang of it. It may also be hard with the wine glass. Use Crystal Glasses. They are much more likely to vibrate, and the sound quality is much better. |

Empty glasses will still make noise, yes. Make sure the glass is set on an even and stable surface. Wet your fingertip and rub the glass rim, being careful not to push too hard, or too lightly. You need to find a good medium; the sound is produced by vibration, not like it's magick. |
