Yes, however the wine must be in checked luggage due to the limitations on the amounts of liquids that can be brought on planes (remember last summer with the whole thing with the scare of liquid explosives on British Airways) Because baggage can be handled really rough, it may be best to suck it up and mail it back to yourself, this way you can package it nicely and in case it breaks, it won't ruin a whole suitcase full of clothes.

You can mail it, but you cannot bring liquids on a flight to the US.

My mom did...she packed it in her checked baggage. Oh, but when she started to unpack one of her bottles had broken...red wine everywhere! It also ruined some of her other souvenirs. I would agree with the previous opinion...mail it. Yes, it costs more, but at least it's safer for your belongings and also piece of mind. Check bevmo.com along with a google search of the wines/ vineyards you like...you may be able to get it in the US too.

You can have it shipped to a local wine merchant in your area, Most tourist towns have many local wineries and stores where you can ship back to the us, If you have a friend in the military you can ship cases if you wanted through them... I have a large collection of the best wines from germany, and I am glad i shipped from there, because the price for one bottle of thier wine here costs three times what i paid in germany. Good luck and enjoy your wine

Yes - BUT make sure you check out how much you can bring back and if there will be any tariff/ duty charged. A number of wine places have these handy-dandy box to pack your wine in. They're styrofoam and the bottles fit in them perfectly. They are great for transporting wine!

You can bring it back in your checked bag, make sure it's packed well & protected. I travelled to Japan recently and brought back several bottles of Japanese whiskey, Osaka to Miami in 3 flights and not a drop lost!

Sure in checked baggage. There is a limit though.

Yes, just check it but why not have it shipped in the fall when the heat won't hurt the wine?
