Looking for a good dessert wine?

Question: Looking for a good dessert wine?

(Posted by: Avantgarden on 2009-02-10 21:47:52)

I am looking for a good sweet wine for Valentines Day. Personally, I enjoy a good Pinot Noir, or a nice Chablis, but unfortunately my girlfriend doesn't exactly enjoy wine. I just find it a little tacky for me to get beer (my drink of choice), and for her to get Smirnoff Ice (her drink of choice) on Valentines Day at a $800 a night resort. That's college, and those days are over. Anyway, girlfriend does not like beer or wine. She drinks Patron or Smirnoff Ice. What would be a good wine? I was thinking maybe a good Riesling? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Riesling is good to go with dinner. If you're looking for a sweet wine for dessert I'd look at a Muscat.
