Solera made, wood aged wine, fortified with brandy. over 120 years old. The wine is sweet and luscious with flavors of almonds, caramel, toffee and orange zest. It shares similar characteristics with a 20 year old Tawny Port. A collector s wine.

Who has some wine recommendations?
So a few months ago I got bored with my usual vodka drinks and ventured into wines. I know I like sweeter wines so I always get a White Zin but now I'm bored with that. Im interested in trying so many others but don't want to waste money on tart, bitter wines that I know I don't like. So what are other good variety's of wine that are sweeter like White Zin? Im interested in Rose, White Merlot and Riesling in particular. How would you describe the taste of those?

Is there any diffrence in what type of yeast used to make wine?
I was thinking about using bread making yeast rather then stuff you get from a wine place. I've used bread yeast before but don't know if there is a real difference. I've also used turbo yeast and know that it has a higher alcohol tolerance and possibly more by products like methanol. I don't plan on using turbo yeast. What do you think? Thanks

Can wine "go off" or go bad?
i went to open it and it opened so easily i think it was already open.. screw cap, stupid new technology i know wine can go vinegarry, but that isnt going to hurt you i guess... im wondering, if it still smells okay, is it possible for it to be bad? i dont quite know whether this bottle got opened before i put it in the fridge or if it's been opened since, and i dont want to get people sick if i put it in food or whatever. its possible its been open for months and out of the fridgeits white wine and its possible it was exposed to fairly warm weather as it was in a garage which is not insulated during warm weather

Questions about wine?
I seriously want to get into drinking wine, especially red because I love Italian food. The problem is that I can't get past the alcohol taste. Can any of you wine experts out there help me out with this? If I go for dry rather than sweet, do you think that would help? I tried Madeira wine when I was there, and I went for a super sweet one and I had to spit it out because the " wine" taste just hits me on the back of my tongue.I've heard a person can sort of work up to it by trying it with different cheeses maybe... Anyone?Hope I can get feedback and suggestion... Thanks

You have decided to try to make your own wine by adding yeast to a sweet grape juice. After allowing plenty of?
A More sugar needs to be added, yeast need a lot of energy before they produce alcohol.B Less sugar is needed in the juice, high sugar concentration causes cellular respiration to occur instead of fermentation.C Yeast can not ferment grapes, only bacteria can.D The mixture needs less oxygen, yeast only produce alcohol in the absence of oxygen.E The mixture needs more carbon dioxide.
